On the podcast I get to speak to people who are either a parent of a child with autism, an autistic adult, or who work with the autism community. In this episode my guest ticks all 3 boxes!
I first met Ella (from the blog Purple Ella) a couple of years ago at a blogging event and shortly after she had received her own autism diagnosis. Ella is also a mum to two children with an autism, and works with the autism community giving talks and training too. You can listen on the player below, or on iTunes or Stitcher
During this episode we get to talk about
- What difference her autism diagnosis has made to her life
- Meltdowns and what helps her or her children cope in that moment
- The importance of routines for her and her family
- Why so many girls are going undiagnosed
- And much much more
Ella really provides some great insight into what life is like for her being autistic, that family members and autistic adults alike will find so much value in
To find out more about Ella and follow her stories I’d highly recommend checking out her YouTube channel, and you can also find her on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram
I’d love to know what you thought, if there’s anything you want me to ask my guests in future, or even if there’s someone who you think might make a great guest. You can leave me a comment below.
Thanks for listening
